Alert Statuses

You can manage alerts by resolving them or marking them as incidents allowing you to effectively track your progress toward resolution. For each individual alert, you’ll find options to update its status.

Adjusting the status of an alert helps prioritize urgent issues, avoids duplicate efforts from teammates, and streamlines the reporting of progress to stakeholders.

Datachecks alerts have four potential statuses, each serving a specific purpose:

StatusIntended Purpose
No StatusThe default state when an alert is created.
InvestigatingSomeone is actively investigating if this is a meaningful issue.
FixedThe issue has been successfully resolved, and no further action is required.
ExpectedThe detection was a valid anomaly from a statistical standpoint, but was the expected result of something like a pipeline change or planned maintenance.
No Action NeededThe detection was a valid anomaly from a statistical standpoint, but was not important enough to merit any further action.
False PositiveThe detection was not a valid statistical anomaly, and it does not indicate an actual problem. These alerts can be dismissed.
