Connect your Sybase data source to Datachecks.
1. Create a Sybase Read-Only User
Datachecks uses a temporary dataset for processing, ensuring that your core database remains unchanged during data validation and monitoring.
2. Add Sybase as a data source in Datachecks
Go to Settings > Your Workspace > Datasources, click New Datasource, and select Sybase to configure the connection to your database.
Once selected, you’ll be directed to the configuration page. Enter the following details:
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Host | The name of the server that hosts your database. |
| Server | The default port is 1433. If your server uses a different port, specify that. |
| Port | The default port is 1433. If your server uses a different port, specify that. |
| Username | The name of the dedicated user for Datachecks. |
| Password | The password of the Datachecks user. |
| Database | The name of the Sybase database you want to connect to. |
| Schema | Specify the schema you want to access. |
| Connection Name | A name given to the data connection within Datachecks. |
| ODBC Driver | The driver required to establish a connection with Sybase (e.g., Sybase IQ). |
Click Test & Save Datasource. Your data connection is ready!
