1. Create a Sybase Read-Only User

Datachecks uses a temporary dataset for processing, ensuring that your core database remains unchanged during data validation and monitoring.

Go to Settings > Datasources, click New Datasource, and select Sybase to configure the connection to your database.

Once selected, you’ll be directed to the configuration page. Enter the following details:

Field Name	Description
Host	The name of the server that hosts your database.
Server	The default port is 1433. If your server uses a different port, specify that.
Port	The default port is 1433. If your server uses a different port, specify that.
Username	The name of the dedicated user for Datachecks.
Password	The password of the Datachecks user.
Database	The name of the Sybase database you want to connect to.
Schema	Specify the schema you want to access.
Connection Name	A name given to the data connection within Datachecks.
ODBC Driver	The driver required to establish a connection with Sybase (e.g., Sybase IQ).

Click Test & Save Datasource. Your data connection is ready!
